color authority pantone, which provides professional color standards for the design industries, published their fashion color report for fall 2012.  

the color report coincides with new york fashion week, which runs from 9-16 february 2012.

does social media influence design trends?

 

john turner, director of architect and designer segments for benjamin moore paints, thinks so.

while presenting color pulse 2013, benjamin moore's annual color trend forecast during design san francisco 2012,  turner predicted that facebook and twitter colors will be some of the most directional colors for 2014.

interesting idea...

the furniture vignettes in the kravet showroom at the san francisco design center (sfdc) already feature blue and green occasional furniture and upholstery fabrics.
