interior design | matt murphy + tommy parzinger | san francisco decorator showcase

matt murphy filled the master bedroom at the 2011 san francisco decorator showcase  with vintage furnishings in homage to mid-century designer, tommi parzinger.

'discovering the work of tommi parzinger was the single biggest influence in my self education and development as a designer.' -matt murphy

for the master bedroom, murphy accented boldly patterned black and white window and floor coverings with red and green, and combined antiques with 20th century furniture, lighting, and art.

'i wanted to create an elegant new york vibe, like a fifth avenue co-op from the 50's and 60's.' -matt murphy
